More Than Boarding — A Home Away From Home

At K9TRAINER4U, boarding is about more than simply giving your dog a place to stay. We provide a safe, structured, and caring environment where each dog receives individualized attention, exercise, enrichment, mental stimulation, and plenty of rest based on their unique needs.

We take the time to understand your dog’s personality, routine, and comfort level so they can feel secure while you’re away. Dogs are cared for individually or with appropriate supervised interaction based on their temperament, and we never force socialization.

As professional trainers, we can also incorporate basic manners and structure into your dog’s stay when requested. For dogs needing more intensive training, our Stay & Train programs offer everything from basic obedience to advanced behavior modification.

Stay & Train & Behavior Modification

Our Stay & Train programs are personalized to each dog and their individual needs. We take the time to understand your dog’s behavior, challenges, personality, and goals so we can create a training approach that works specifically for them.

For behavior modification, we work through the root of the behavior using structure, clear communication, boundaries, and consistency. Whether your pup struggles with reactivity, anxiety, impulse control, leash manners, or basic household behaviors, we adjust the program to meet them where they are.

Our basic obedience Stay & Train builds a strong foundation with skills such as sit, down, stay, place, recall, leash walking, impulse control, and proper manners. We work these skills into real-life situations so your dog can carry their training home with them.

And our support doesn’t end when your pup leaves. Every dog we work with receives lifetime support. As your dog grows and their needs change, we’re here to help you continue building on their training.

In-Home Training Lessons

Our in-home training lessons are personalized to you and your dog, right where you need the training most—your home and everyday environment.

We come to you to work through behavior modification and basic obedience, addressing the specific challenges you and your dog are experiencing. From leash manners, jumping, barking, and impulse control to sit, down, stay, place, recall, and household manners, each lesson is tailored to your dog’s individual needs.

Training in your home allows us to work through real-life situations and teach you how to continue the training with your dog between sessions.

And our support doesn’t stop after the lesson. Every dog we work with receives lifetime support as they continue to grow and learn.

Search and Rescue

We offer Search & Rescue lessons and club training for dogs and handlers looking to develop their skills and build a strong working partnership.

Our lessons are tailored to each dog’s abilities, experience, and goals. We work on tracking, scent work, area searches, obedience, recall, focus, and handler communication, while gradually introducing different environments and distractions.

Our Search & Rescue Club provides continued training and opportunities for dogs and handlers to practice their skills, gain experience, and learn alongside others.

Whether you’re just getting started or continuing to develop an experienced working dog, we meet you where you are and build from there.

Service Dogs

Our Service Dog training is personalized to each dog and the individual needs of their handler. We focus on building reliable obedience, confidence, focus, and the specific skills needed to help each dog become a dependable working partner.

Training may include basic obedience, public manners, task training, impulse control, leash skills, place, recall, and working calmly around distractions. Each program is tailored to the dog’s abilities and the tasks they are being trained to perform.

We work closely with both the dog and handler to build clear communication and prepare them for real-life situations.
